Directing this was one of the greatest honors of my 2023. Earlier that year, many vague and authoritarian bills were introduced impacting the LGBTQ community, particularly in the south. Partnering with Producer Entertainment Group and Black Queer Town Hall, I had the pleasure of directing a telethon to raise awareness and funds for LGBTQ+ causes and organizations that support drag and trans performers. It was beautiful to see an incredible roster of drag performers and celebrity allies join our broadcast and we managed to raise over $523,000.
